MORAINE — The Moraine Police Department is investigating after a bomb and active shooter threat forced an evacuation of a Walmart on Sunday evening.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch received a call to its non-emergency line around 7:17 p.m. In it, a person threatened to bomb and open fire at the Walmart on W. Dorothy Lane.

Moraine Police, Fire, and other neighboring agencies responded to the scene and evacuated the store.
iWitness7 videos showed customers leaving the store with alarms going off in the background.
In an update on Monday, Moraine Police Sergeant Andrew Dyer said a drone and bomb sniffing dogs were used to check the area.
“There was no sign of a threat to the community or building,” Dyer said.
Walmart chose to remain closed for the evening and reopened this morning.
“The safety of our associates and customers is a top priority. We will work closely with law enforcement as they investigate,” the Walmart Press Office told News Center 7 on Sunday.
No injuries were reported.
