CELINA — Parker Wynk’s mother provided an update on their son after he suffered a serious injury on Friday night.

Celina High School football senior quarterback Parker Wynk was injured while trying to recover a fumble in Friday’s season opener against St. Henry’s, as previously reported.
He collided with another player and his neck snapped backward.

Parker’s mother, Sierra, told News Center 7’s Kylie Bridgeman on Monday that Parker had an MRI in the morning and was cleared to sit up and eat and drink.
She said she is praying for the use of his hands and for the inflammation to reduce in his spine and body.
The Celina First Church held a prayer service on Saturday for Parker Wynk.
Celina beat St. Henry, 38-35, on Friday night.
