MORAINE — An extended power issue forced the Moraine Walmart to temporarily close Monday after heavy winds blew through the area over night.

The Walmart in Moraine on West Dorothy Lane put a sign on its doors early Monday morning stating the store was without power and would remain closed until power is restored. The store has since reopened.
Thousands were without power Monday morning following the heavy winds.
Inside, lights can be seen flickering on and off.
Heavy winds blew through the Miami Valley overnight, with gusts as high as 60 mph.
Officials with Walmart did not immediately return a request for comment.
