MIAMISBURG — Miamisburg Police took to social media on Monday to highlight their drone operations for the month of September.

The drones were used 108 times to locate wanted people, investigate vehicle break-ins, identify suspicious individuals and respond to shots-fired reports, the department said.

The drones also assisted Germantown Police and Trotwood Police with suspect and search-and-rescue operations, and the program also supported Miamisburg 9/11 Stair Climb.
According to a post on Facebook, Officer Dylan Branham completed his FAA certification and is now a drone pilot.
The officers continued to conduct training flights to maintain readiness when utilizing a drone for department operations.
