Dayton police were called to the 100 block of Maplelawn Drive around 3:35 p.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch supervisor.

TRENDING STORIES:

Officers found at least one person with a gunshot wound.

A panicked 911 call brought police to the scene.

“They’re out here shooting at each other, y’all need to hurry,” the caller said.

The caller described in detail what they saw.

“They’re chasing each other. He’s about to kill him. Oh my god. Oh, he’s killing him,” the caller said.

Police confirmed two people were taken to the hospital.

Police said they have three people in custody.

But that’s not encouraging for people who live on the block.

“It’s been horrible. It’s been very disappointing. I didn’t expect it from the street,” Kristina Carcamo said.

At this time, it is unclear if this shooting is connected to a shooting reported in the same area on Saturday.

“We just want to move. My mom is disappointed. She’s scared. I have a brother that’s 12 years old, and he’s going to school, so we just want to move out now,” Carcamo said.

We will update as we get new information.
