BROOKVILLE — A local city will be conducting hydrant testing this week.

The Brookville Fire Department shared on social media that there will be hydrant testing at various points throughout the city this week.

Testing will occur on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The testing could potentially cause water discoloration within the distribution system, according to the fire department.
Residents are encouraged to check water for discoloration prior to use.
If you observe discolored water, run all taps in your home or business until clear. This typically takes only a couple of minutes, according to the fire department.
“This flow testing is necessary to ensure the readiness of our water system - we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause,” the fire department said.
