DAYTON — An 8-year-old girl was hit by a car that failed to stop for a school bus at a Dayton intersection Thursday afternoon, according to a Dayton police report.
The girl was hit as she was crossing in front of the bus from the west side of Stolz Avenue toward Millicent Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

Police said Devon Perdue, 19, of Dayton, passed a school bus at the intersection while it had “its flashing safety lights and stop sign activated,” according to a Dayton police report.
The girl was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which police said appeared to be minor.
The crash report showed it was raining at the time of the crash.
Police did not say how fast Perdue was driving when the girl was hit.
Perdue was cited with failing to stop for a school bus, according to the crash report.
