Hruska served as Kaptur’s operations manager from August 2015 to January 2022.

She was entrusted with the representative’s personal credit card and banking information to make purchases in line with her duties.

Hruska left Kaptur’s office in 2022 for a new position within the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Without authorization, Hruska retained Kaptur’s personal credit card and banking information and used them to pay her own credit card bills between August 2023 and July 2024. She used Kaptur’s card on 10 separate occasions, the USAVAE said.
