KETTERING — Flyin’ to the Hoop, a premier high school basketball showcase event, is back after being canceled in 2021 because of COVID.

The 19th annual event generates a $1.9 million economic impact according to the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau.
This year tickets will be available both in person and online ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased at https://flyintothehoop.com/tickets and will be able to be accessed on your phone to get into Trent Arena.
Flyin’ to the Hoop founder and president Eric Horstman is excited for it to return in 2022.
Horstman added that Premier Health will have masks and sanitizing stations set up around Trent Arena in Kettering.
One team that was going to be coming from Arizona had to cancel due to COVID but the local Flyght Academy team will fill that spot for the 8:15 p.m. game Friday night.

One of the biggest matchups of the weekend pits undefeated Centerville, the number one ranked team in the state, against SoCal Academy (CA), one of the top teams in the country.
Fairmont is ranked 4th in the state and will close out the weekend with a game against Woodward Monday at 6:30 p.m.
