Deer falls into icy water, firefighters come to rescue in Ohio

TALLMADGE — Some firefighters had to make a unique rescue on Sunday.

Tallmadge firefighters rescued a buck after it fell through ice and into about five feet of water, according to a social media post.

Upon arrival, Firefighter Mitchell suited in the Ice Rescue gear and entered the pond.

Lt. Syx handled the line.

“Thanks to their teamwork, the deer was safely secured and pulled out of the icy water. A big thank you to our team for their dedication and quick action!” the department wrote on its Facebook page.
