Fans can see Ohio State’s national championship trophy in person at 3 grocery stores this week

COLUMBUS — Ohio State fans will have the chance to see the Buckeyes’ College Football Playoff National Championship trophy in person this week.

The 24K gold-plated trophy will be making the rounds and will be displayed at three Central Ohio grocery stores, our news partners at WBNS in Columbus reported.

Westerville Meijer

  • Thursday, Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Columbus Giant Eagle

  • 840 W. 3rd Avenue
  • Thursday, Jan. 23 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

Plain City Kroger

  • 12116 Sycamore Trace
  • Friday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fans will have the opportunity to see the trophy up close and take photos with it.

Ohio State won their first national title in a decade on Monday with a 34-23 win over Notre Dame.

A championship celebration is scheduled for Sunday at Ohio Stadium at noon, WBNS reported.
