Villatoro, who the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office said is in the country illegally, began sexually assaulting the victim for around six years, starting when she was 11 years old.
He also physically abused her by hitting her with flooring materials.
The abuse continued until the girl confided in her school principal, according to the prosecutor’s office.
“Villatoro preyed on this child over a period of several years. But because of this victim’s courage, we were able to achieve some measure of justice,” Warren County Prosecutor David P. Fornshell said in a release.
The prosecutor’s office has also been in communication with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) about Villatoro. They expect an ICE detainer will be placed on him to begin deportation proceedings after his prison sentence.
