JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — UPDATE @ 8:27 a.m.:
Several people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash involving a Greyhound bus in Jefferson Township on Saturday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 49 and West Third Street at 5:40 a.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher.

Upon arrival, Montgomery County Sheriff deputies found that a Greyhound Bus was traveling west on U.S. 35 and, when at the intersection with S.R. 49, struck the rear of a Chrysler Pacifica.
The Chrysler Pacifica had broken down in the roadway, and the driver was outside the vehicle, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Several of the occupants on the Greyhound Bus sustained minor injuries and were also taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
