Two kayakers had called 911 reporting that they had become stranded on the river bank north of the Taylorsville Dam.
Two boats, a drone, and a hovercraft were launched to locate and rescue the pair, according to the post.
Both kayakers were quickly located and rescued. They were both uninjured, according to the post.
The Fire Division added that due to the recent heavy rain, the river conditions are still challenging.
High water, swift current, and debris in the river make it dangerous for kayaking and canoeing, according to the Fire Division.
According to the Miami Conservancy District, the Taylorsville Dam was still storing floodwater as of last week.
