CLARK COUNTY — Clark County Commission and Springfield Commission are hosting a joint work session on Thursday to discuss a new jail.

Earlier this month, News Center 7 reported that the Board of Clark County Commissioners and the City of Springfield have selected a new preferred site for a future Clark County Public Safety Complex.
The 50-acre property is located south of State Route 334 along State Route 72 in the City of Springfield.
The selection follows several years of planning and the evaluation of more than 30 potential locations based on community feedback regarding cost and long-term public safety needs.
