Brittany Jordan, 32, of Sidney has been identified as the victim in the fatal rollover crash that occurred Saturday afternoon on Mason Road, west of Port Jefferson.
UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.:
A 32-year-old Sidney woman was pronounced dead at the scene after a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 17,000 block of Mason Road, west of Port Jefferson in Shelby County, according to News Center 7's Northern Bureau Chief Steve Baker.
A 2002 Ford Focus was traveling westbound when the driver traveled off the right side of the road, over-corrected, and lost control. She then slid back across the left side of the road and struck two trees.
The victim was transported to a nearby Medevac (Medical Evacuation) landing zone where resuscitation efforts were made before being pronounced dead.

Deputies, along with the Perry-Port-Salem Rescue Squad, Port Jefferson Fire Department, CareFlight, and the Shelby County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene shortly after 1 p.m.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Shelby Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Officials are investigating the cause of a car accident that happened Saturday on Mason Road.
It is unknown on injuries, but CareFlight was called to the scene, according to Sidney dispatch.
