Male taken by CareFlight after fall from tree stand along I-675N

A man was flown a hospital Saturday after he fell from a tree stand.

The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. in a wooded area off northbound Interstate 675 near the 9200 block of Haddix Road in Clark County.

The hunter fell about 18 feet from the tree stand, according to initial reports.

Rescue workers removed the hunter from the wooded area by using a chainsaw to cut through and make a path. They then used a 4-wheeler to help get the man out of the woods.

The man’s injuries are unknown at this time.

The incident was reported around 2:40 p.m., and the Ohio State Highway Patrol shut down I-675 northbound for about 30 minutes.

Mad River Twp./Enon Fire & EMS responded to the incident, and the Bethel Twp. Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office helped to assist at the scene.
