Beavercreek church hosts Tim Tebow foundation’s Night to Shine event

BEAVERCREEK — A Beavercreek church played host Friday night to Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine, an event designed to allow participants with special needs to experience prom.

The prom started at 6 p.m., with a red carpet ceremony, where the guests get to be greeted like a celebrity during the event at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1450 N. Fairfield Road. The dance ended at 9 p.m.

This is the fifth anniversary for Night to Shine.

According to its website, Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.

On one night, 655 churches from around the world come together to host Night to Shine for approximately 100,000 honored guests through the support of 200,000 volunteers. For more information on Night to Shine, visit:  Night to Shine
