OSP: 700 arrests made in multi-state impaired driving campaign

COLUMBUS — The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a recent enforcement and awareness effort on impaired driving as part of a multi-state law enforcement partnership resulted in a total of 700 arrests for driving under the influence.

From Dec. 7 through 9, 280 of the arrests were made in Ohio.

In addition to OSP, the campaign included state police from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and information sharing.
