A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Randolph and Wayne Counties in Indiana until 7 a.m., according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Overnight Friday: Partly cloudy skies along with warm and muggy conditions. Storms will increase in coverage after 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. A few storms north and west of Dayton could be strong. Temperatures will hold in the middle 70s overnight.

Today: Scattered storms are likely early and then again late in the day or at night. A few storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind and heavy rain the main threats. Temperatures outside of the storms should reach into the upper 80s. A heat advisory for Butler and Warren counties is in effect 1 to 7 p.m.
Sunday: Expect a chance for storms, mainly early in the day. It still will be quite warm and muggy with highs in the upper 80s.

Monday: Clearing skies are in the forecast long with lower humidity. It will be more comfortable with temperatures in the lower 80s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny skies are expected with pleasantly warm conditions. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies continue, with highs back into the middle 80s.
