The data show that Warren County has seen the most tornadoes are regional counties in that time, with 22. The massive Xenia tornado of April 3, 1974, looms large over many of the statistics, including largest damage of any incident (estimated at $250 million) and one of only two F5 (most intense) tornadoes during that time (the other came on the same day, but in Clark County).

The most recent standout year for tornadoes was 2011, when 11 were confirmed in the region. Since, there have been three, four, three and three in the years heading into 2016.
