UPDATE: SB I-75 reopens after semi fire in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 3:55 p.m.:

State troopers have reopened southbound I-75 in Shelby County following an earlier semi fire near the Miami Shelby county line, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers.

Delays are reported for miles on southbound I-75 with slowdowns starting near the exits to Sidney.

FIRST REPORT:

The southbound lanes of I-75 are shut down in southern Shelby County due to a semitrailer fire, according to initial reports.

State troopers and fire crews were called to southbound I-75 near the Miami Shelby county line around 2:50 p.m.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, all southbound lanes of I-75 are shut down while crews battle the fire. An estimated time for the highway to reopen wasn’t immediately known.

No injuries have been initially reported.
