TERRE HAUTE, IN — The Wright State Raiders lost their first game in the Terre Haute Regional to Indiana State, 6-5, Friday afternoon.

The Raiders led 5-3 going into the bottom of the eighth inning but the Sycamores scored three runs to take a 6-5 lead.
WSU went down in order in the top of the ninth to end the game.
Wright State took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run double by Boston Smith.
The Raiders got a two-run home run by Gehrig Anglin in the third inning and a solo shot by Andrew Patrick in the fifth to increase the advantage to 5-2.
Indiana State got a sacrifice fly by Adam Pottinger to cut the deficit to 5-4.
The bases were loaded with two out when Grant Magill hit a two-run single to give the Sycamores a 6-5 lead.
The Raiders will play the loser in the Iowa/North Carolina game Saturday at 12 p.m. The loser of Saturday’s game will be eliminated.
Indiana State advances to the winner bracket and will face the winner of Iowa vs North Carolina at 6 p.m.
