Dayton Dragon earns named Midwest League Player of Month honor for April

DAYTON — Dayton Dragons outfielder Blake Dunn has been named Midwest League Player of the Month for the month of April by Minor League Baseball.

He is the only Reds Minor Leaguer to receive that honor for the first month of the season.

He is currently leading the Midwest League in several categories. This includes a batting average of .386, scoring 17 runs, an on-base percentage of .538, a slugging percentage of .702, and OPS of 1.240.

Dunn is also second with 40 total bases, five home runs, 18 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases.

He has also recorded nine multi-hit games and homered in each of the last three games of the month of April.

Dunn was also named Midwest Player of the Week for the week of April 24-30.

The Cincinnati Reds picked Dunn in the 15th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft out of Western Michigan.
