Police in New Orleans have confirmed to multiple media outlets that former Ohio State and NFL player Will Smith was shot and killed Saturday night.
According to reports, the former defensive end was the victim of a double shooting that also left his wife injured.
Smith was selected in the 1st round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints after attending and playing football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Smith was 34-years-old.
