The 42nd Vectren Dayton Air Show is this weekend and will bring thousands of people to the Miami Valley.

Your Storm Center 7 team of meteorologists have been keeping a close eye on the forecast.

This year, it looks like the weather will cooperate.

Showers and storms can not only keep the flights grounded, they also can create safety concerns for spectators. High pressure will be building into the Miami Valley Saturday and Sunday, keeping us dry.

Here’s a quick breakdown:

Saturday temperatures will climb into the mid-80s. Dew points will be in a comfortable range, so though it will be hot, it won’t be muggy. There will be a mix of sunshine and a few fair-weather clouds.

Sunday temperatures are expected to top out in the upper 80s, with plenty of sunshine. It will feel a little more humid by the time we head toward the afternoon.

The UV Index will stay high each afternoon, so between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., make sure you apply sunscreen, at least an SPF 30. Staying hydrated in the heat also is a good idea.
