Suspect in Subway sandwich shop robbery in Troy crashes SUV in Dayton

UPDATE @ 11:07 p.m.: The man suspected in the armed robbery of the Subway sandwich shop in Troy was taken to a hospital in Dayton after crashing an SUV he was driving Monday afternoon.

The Troy Police Department confirms that according to Dayton police, the suspect, 56-year-old Anthony Charles Morgan, crashed in the 200 block of Smith Street. He was taken to a hospital.

INITIAL REPORT

Troy police are seeking a suspect in the armed robbery of a Subway.

Around 10:40 a.m. June 3, cash was stolen from the register at Subway, 15 S. Dorset Road, by an armed robber.

The white male, in his 60s, is about 6 feet tall and 210 pounds. He is described as having a gray ponytail, spiral piercing in his ear, a white mustache, tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, athletic shoes, glasses and a baseball hat.

The man had a box cutter.

The man may have fled the scene in a red GMC Envoy.
