Wrong turn lands Amazon driver on Michigan golf course, truck wedged in cart tunnel

OXFORD, Mich. — A Michigan golf course employee got far more than he bargained for Saturday when an Amazon driver took a wrong turn or two and wound up wedged in a cart tunnel.

Bill Offer, outside services supervisor at Boulder Pointe Golf Club, told MLive.com that he was quite upset with the driver at first because it was difficult to shield a nearby wedding from the unexpected guest.

Eventually, though, the humor of the situation won out.

“He said his GPS led him there. It’s too funny. It really is,” Offer told the outlet.

According to Offer, the driver was “obviously familiar” with the Oxford, Michigan, course, but he took a wrong turn at around 2:30 p.m. down the cart path and got his truck stuck in the tunnel leading from the clubhouse to the course’s third nine, MLive.com reported.

Offer said the driver was “not physically shaken” by the snafu, “but he had no place to go. He was between a rock and a hard place.”
