NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Two Ohio men tried to abduct a real estate agent before she was supposed to show a house, police said.

North Ridgeville Police said David J. Helton, 45, and Michael W.B. Evans 37, were in a silver SUV when they stopped in front of a home for sale last Saturday and approached a 54-year-old woman.

The driver asked her for a business card. When she started walking toward her car to get one the driver got out, grabbed her by the arm and tried to get her into his SUV, police said.

After a brief struggle, the real estate agent broke free, ran to her car and locked the doors. She suffered bruises and cuts on her arm.

Police said the passenger yelled, “Get her in here,” and “Let’s go.”

Helton and Evans fled the area. They were arrested Wednesday and charged with felony abduction and misdemeanor assault, police said.
