OH-235 still shut down after a car strikes a utility pole in Greene County

BATH Twp. Greene County — UPDATE @ 8:05 a.m: Ohio 235 and Byron Road is still shut down after a vehicle struck a pole early Monday morning, according to officials

The incident occurred just after 5 a.m. and crews are still on scene.

We’re working to learn if the driver of the vehicle suffered any injuries.

Power lines are hanging as a result of the crash and the road will be shut down while repairs are being made.

Ohio 235 and Byron Road have been shut down, and traffic is being directed to Trebein Road, officials said.

First report:

We are responding to reports that a car struck a utility pole at OH-235 and Byron Road in Bath Twp., near Fairborn early Monday morning.

There are low hanging power lines in the area, so OH-235 will be closed while crews make repairs. Ohio Edison has been called, and are expected to arrive at the scene within an hour, according to scanner traffic.
