Tips wanted in Preble County arson cases

The State Fire Marshall’s office in Ohio is asking for the public’s assistance after a pair of fires that were intentionally set in Lewisburg.

According to a press release, around midnight on April 13, firefighters and medics were called to 6941 Shields Road after getting reports of a camper fire. Firefighters arrived and found the camper engulfed in flames.

Then, around 2pm the following day, firefighters responded back to the property after getting reports that a Chevrolet Trailblazer was on fire near the home.

The state fire marshal’s office is working with the Preble County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. A $5,000 reward is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for any information leading to the arrest and conviction in this case.
