This story made national headlines when the child went to Indiana for an abortion.
The Indiana Medical Licensing Board agreed to allow Dr. Caitlin Bernard to return to her office.
However, the board found she violated privacy laws on three counts for failing to report abuse.

“This omission, this omission of failure to report is the cause,” said Chris Bartolomucci, attorney. “The effect of that failure was a child returning to live with her rapist for five days.”
“I don’t think that anybody would have been looking into this story as any different than any other interview that I’ve given if it was not politicized the way that it was,” said Dr. Bernard.
Franklin County Prosecutors have charged 27-year-old Gerson Fuentes with raping and impregnating the 10-year-old girl.
