Governor DeWine sworn in for 2nd term as Ohio governor in Columbus

CEDARVILLE — Governor Mike DeWine was sworn into office Monday at a public swearing-in at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus Monday.

He was sworn-in Sunday in a private event Sunday in Cedarville.

“I have never been more optimistic about our days ahead than I am right now, he said. “This is Ohio’s moment in history.”

DeWine he was honored, " to be sworn in to serve as Governor of Ohio for a second term,” in a statement on Twitter.

Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost were also sworn in at the Ohio Statehouse.

DeWine previously had served as the state’s attorney general before becoming governor in 2019.

Yost was the state auditor before being elected to succeed DeWine as attorney general of Ohio in 2019.
