Convenience store chain Wawa to launch stores in Ohio

A popular east coast convenience store chain is looking to expand into the buckeye state.

Wawa announced Wednesday that the chain has sights on new “Wawalands” and plans to launch its first stores in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

“These markets are the perfect places for Wawa to expand based on their strong business communities, their family-like atmosphere, and the confidence that our unique offer and amazing associates will be welcomed by these communities,” Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s president and chief executive officer said in a release.

The release did not name specific locations in the state where the stores will be located.
