CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden will offer “sensory friendly” Santa visits during their Festival of Lights this year.
Visitors with sensory sensitivities or developmental disabilities can reserve a 10-minute quiet meet and greet with Santa.
This Santa has received training on developmental disabilities from the Children’s Hospital Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities program.

Other adjustments include a separate chair next to Santa, reservation times to avoid lines as well as lights and music will be lowered.
Sensory-friendly Santa will be at the zoo from 1-3 p.m. before crowds arrive on select days in December.
In addition to the meet and greet there will also be gingerbread houses, holiday decorations and a hot chocolate stand.
The experience does not include admission, so families either need to be members or purchase regular admission tickets.
More information about the experience can be found here.
