Spring Valley Twp. — Tina Deck has owned Slim’s Neighborhood Bar & Grille almost 7 years. Friday, she is reopening her patio to customers, but told News Center 7 she is worried with the new social distancing guidelines put in place by Ohio, she won’t have enough room for the people who show up.

“It depends on the weather. I’m afraid we won’t have enough seating capacity for the people who want to come in," Deck said. “I’ve already had people call and ask for reservations and I only have 3 tables out here.”

“Baby steps, baby steps. Please bear with us,” Deck said.

Deck said the menu on Friday will be limited and she is not yet offering breakfast. Carry out will still be available.

Deck told News Center 7 she is hoping customers, who come to dine and drink will limit their time at their table so she can serve as many people as possible.

Ohio’s liquor rebate program, which gives restaurants and bars $500 to restock their shelves, loyal carryout customers and the loans made available by the federal government have helped keep Slim’s Neighborhood Bar & Grille in business since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Without the support from the community, I wouldn’t be here today,” Deck said.
