HARMONY TWP., Clark County — Two teens were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning south of South Vienna, according to the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported in the 3000 block of South Urbana Lisbon Road around 12:40 a.m. Sunday.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Austin Pendelton, 18, of Tremont City, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital after the crash as was last listed in serious, but stable condition, state troopers said in a media release. A 17-year-old passenger was transported for treatment and later released at Springfield Regional Medical Center.
An initial investigation found Pendelton’s truck went off the side of the roadway, crashed into a utility pole, and overturned. Both Pendleton and the 17-year-old were trapped in the vehicle after the crash.
Pendleton was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, however the teenage passenger was, state troopers said.
The investigation also found that excessive speed and and alcohol were factors in the crash, according to state troopers.
