Teen killed in I-75 crash identified

2 others injured in crash between Sidney and Piqua

A teenager girl is dead and two others are injured after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 between Sidney and Piqua.

Troopers identified the victim as Kristin Osborne, 16, of Sidney.

They say she was riding in the back seat of the SUV when it went off the highway, into a ditch and rolled several times.

The driver, 17-year-old Logan Jessup, was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. He is in critical condition, according to the hospital.

His sister, 13, was the front-seat passenger and was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. The hospital would not release information on her condition.

The crash shut the southbound lanes of the highway down at about 10:10 p.m. between mile markers 84 and 85 north of north County Road 25A.

Troopers say Osborne was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release. Troopers identified her as a cousin to the two other passengers.

They say they do not suspect drugs or alcohol in the crash.

The cause remains under investigation.
