UPDATE @ 9:15 p.m.: The baby and the other victim have been taken to Dayton Children's Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital, respectively, suffering from injuries not believed to be life threatening, police said.
Trotwood police also told us they have found a license plate that appears not to belong to the wrecked vehicle and a bottle of alcohol in the roadway.
Police said they will “run” the plate to track down the vehicle they believe was involved in the accident and will process the bottle for fingerprints.
INITIAL REPORT
A baby and one other person have been taken to hospitals after a crash on state Route 49 North at Little Richmond Road that police are calling a hit-and-run accident.
Firefighter/paramedics had to use mechanical means to free the victims from the wreckage.
Crews were dispatched about 8:15 p.m. on a report of a vehicle having struck a light pole.
The far right lane on 49 remains closed at 8:30 p.m. because of the accident.
