A Wittenberg University student was killed in a crash this morning, when the car he was driving went off the road, flipped and ejected him.
His passenger survived with only minor injuries, according to Urbana police Sgt. Dave Reese.
It happened around 1 a.m. along Lewis B. Moore Drive in Urbana.
The victim has been identified as a 19-year-old from Columbus. His name has not been released.
His passenger was also 19 and was wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
Reese said alcohol was found in the vehicle and the passenger was under the influence. They are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
He said it happened in an area that frequently has crashes because of a curve in the road.
