Two people looking for a car for sale were robbed Sunday evening on W. Riverview Ave.
The man and woman told police a man nicknamed “P” was supposed to help them find the car for sale. He was recommended by the woman’s friend, who said “P” used to be her drug dealer.
On that recommendation, the pair got into “P’s” vehicle about 9 p.m. Sunday and he drove them to an alley between Vernon and Everett drives. According to the police report, a black male approached the car and told the occupants to get out. The man and woman exited the vehicle, and “P” then sped off. The robber held a dark, snub nose revolver and told them to drop their belongings. He got away with credit cards, phones and a leather leopard print purse. After the robber ran, the pair ran down the alley and began to knock on doors until someone answered for help.
The robber was described in the police report as a black male, about 6’4”, 180 lbs., wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants. “P” was driving a newer model Chevy 4 door or Pontiac, dark in color.
