Man Tased twice during arrest in Union City

Police in Union City, Ohio used a Taser to subdue a man who was allegedly resisting arrest during a traffic stop.

Carlos Eugene Trueblood II, 29, is being held in the Darke County Jail after his arrest early Saturday morning.

The suspect was sitting in the backseat of a car that was stopped for speeding and the officer found a warrant for his arrest out of the Darke County Municipal Court for abusing harmful intoxicants, according to a release from Union City police.

Police said Trueblood refused to get out of the vehicle and comply with the officers’ orders. An officer Tased him once to get him out of the vehicle, and again after he tried to get up off the ground, according to the release,

Trueblood was scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Saturday.
