Do you know this Walmart / Sam’s Club thief?

Police hope you can help them catch a thief who uses the swap-a-box trick to steal high-end merchandise.

Beavercreek police Capt. Eric Grile said that on Friday, Feb. 6, a white male entered Walmart at 3360 Pentagon Drive, carrying an empty laptop box.

He told the greeters he was returning the laptop, but instead went to the computer section and swapped the empty box for a box off the shelf.

This same male committed a similar theft at Sam’s Club on Pentagon Drive on two separate occasions in January, stealing a TV and a computer.

He then left the store, telling the greeter he decided to keep the item.

Police believe he could be driving a white Pontiac Vibe.

Monday afternoon, the police department released photos of the suspect taken from surveillance video cameras. If you recognizes him or have information about him, you are asked to call the police department at (937)426-1225 or the tip line at (937) 320-7393.
