Police: Alcohol suspected after car slams into home

Police say alcohol is a suspected factor after a woman crashed into a house.

Officers say a woman, who was not identified, was driving at a high rate of speed when she lost control and crashed into a house in the 8900 block of West National Road.

Police estimate the driver was going around 70 mph before she went into a ditch, then airborne before slamming into the house.

The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol is a suspected factor, according to police.

One person was inside the house but was not injured. Police say the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
