Armed man robs Speedway in Miami Twp.

Miami Township Police are looking for the man who held up the Speedway on Alex Bell Road Monday morning.

Police say a man entered the store around 2:20 a.m., displayed a black handgun, and demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect is described by police as a black man, wearing a mask, hat, and camouflage colored clothing.

Officers say the suspect was able to flee the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Officers used a K9 to attempt to track the suspect but were unsuccessful. Police believe the suspect may have driven away from the scene after the K9 track ended at a parking lot in a nearby apartment complex.

No injuries have been reported in the incident.

Police in Miami Township have responded to a reported armed robbery at Speedway at 3000 Alex Bell Road.

Initial reports indicate a man displayed a handgun and took cash from the store around 2:20 a.m. Monday.

A police K9 has been requested to track the suspect who reportedly fled the store on foot.
