Five women were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a tree early this morning in Miamisburg.
A fire started in the engine as a neighbor and police worked to get passengers out of the vehicle.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Upper Miamisburg Road. The road was re-opened around 6:30 a.m.
Firefighters and police were able to extinguish the flames and cut off a door to rescue the last woman from the car.
A neighbor, who asked not to be identified, said he heard the crash and called 911. He said two or three of the women were already outside the vehicle, and he pulled a woman out as the fire started.
The conditions of the women have not been released.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
