1 dead, 10 others injured after Memphis shootings; suspect at large

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is dead and 10 others are injured after two shootings police believe to be connected in Memphis early Sunday.

Around 12:45 a.m. police were called to a shooting at “Live Lounge” at 1482 East Shelby Drive, around 15 minutes outside downtown Memphis.

Officers found two victims who were taken to an area hospital in critical condition, according to Memphis Police Department.

Police said five additional victims left the scene and went to area hospitals by private vehicles — they are said to be in “non-critical” condition.

Officers were then alerted of more shooting victims about a mile away at Shelby Drive and Boeingshire Drive.

When officers arrived on the scene they found one man dead and three additional victims were taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Police said they believe both scenes are connected and there are 11 victims.

It is not known what led up to the shooting and there is no solid description of possible suspects, police said.
