WASHINGTON — Crowds of peaceful protesters gathered outside the U.S. Capitol Wednesday.
They marched from a few blocks from the White House to in between the Capitol building and the U.S. Supreme Court.
The group held signs saying “Black Lives Matter” while chanting and singing feet away from the steps of the Capitol.
Protesters included young and older people.
Capitol police were lined up along the perimeter of the gathering to ensure nothing got out of hand.
This followed several days of protests in Washington D.C. including major turnouts outside the White House.
