A Facebook post by the West Carrollton Soccer Association, posted around 10 p.m. Tuesday, stated a man attempted to take a boy from the fields near Elm Street.

“The boy is okay, but the man got away,” the soccer association said in the post. “The police were notified and we are working with them along with the parents of the boy.”

Another Facebook post from the Kettering Youth Football and Cheer Organization, said a similar incident happened during their weigh-in event Aug. 11 at Miamisburg Middle School.

“We are not sharing this info to scare or induce panic but to simply inform all the parents of how close these things can happen and are happening,” the football association said in the post.
