DAYTON — An 18-year-old Dayton man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the shooting death of Timothy Delaney, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bryant L. Lee was reportedly convicted of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated burglary after entering a guilty plea on Dec. 19.
Lee initially pleaded not guilty during a Sept. 20 arraignment, according to court documents.
On Sept. 4, Delaney’s girlfriend woke up to a loud boom and found him on living room floor of their Midway Avenue home, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Delaney reportedly was shot in the head.

Lee was sentenced to 11 years on the involuntary manslaughter charge and six years on aggravated burglary.
There also was a three-year firearm specification with the aggravated burglary charge.

All of the sentences will be served consecutively, according to the prosecutor’s office.
In addition, Lee was ordered to pay $6,910 in restitution for Delaney’s funeral expenses.
